Summer is the season for dresses and JB and Me has options for everything – weddings, graduation parties, beach gatherings and backyard barbeques. For me, a dress is the easiest and breeziest way to style summer. While I am a true lover of denim - shorts and capris; I tend to favor my dresses when temperatures rise.
One of my favorites is the Bobi Side Ruched Tank Dress. The side ruching is ultra-flattering and the soft, t-shirt fabric lends a casual vibe to its figure hugging silhouette. This style can be dressed up for a formal event with heels and jewelry or worn casually with flip flops and a straw hat.
The Free People Flower Market Mini is a fun and flirty number, perfect for a bachelorette party or Girl’s Night Out. The thick, cotton fabric smooths imperfections and accentuates curves. The girly, ruffled hemline promises fun and shows just the right amount of leg.
I am kind of obsessed with the Free People Grapevine Tunic. I recently bought this top and styled it by tucking the front into skinny jeans and knotting the back ties. This is a great transitional top that can be worn long and flowy with leggings or off-shoulder with denim for an edgy, current look.
The Z Supply All –Tied Up Dress is the perfect, easy, summer dress. I love the tie-up front detail and at $42.00, it is a steal. Throw over a bathing suit for a cool cover-up or pair with lace up sandals for dinner out.
I love to transition my summer dresses into Fall with an open cardigan. The Cupcakes and Cashmere Biller cardigan is the perfect weight for fall or cool summer evenings. I know we’ve only hit the mid-point of summer, but the runways of Paris are already predicting Spring. It’s only natural that we in Michigan begin to consider cooler temps as well.
But only for a minute.
The rest of the time, we will revel in the eighty-degree sun.
Happy Shopping xo
