What did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a professional ballet dancer... and a rock star.  I always had a love for fashion but never knew where that would take me. I found my place at Jb and Me and it's very rewarding!

What does your typical work day look like?

I start off my day with opening up the store every morning, I welcome in all customers and personally help them with their shopping experience. Juggling emails, stylebox's, online orders, restocking and social media. It can be crazy some times, but I love being able to share my creative mind with our customers. 

Favorite part of your job?

Helping customers, and making them feel empowered through fashion. I love inspiring people to try new things! There is nothing more rewarding than helping a customer find new confidence, because they feel great in what they are wearing. I love that most of all!

Describe your personal style…

My personal style is a little edgy and a little funky, with a boho flare, at times. I love wearing dark colors to contrast my fare complexion. I wear black jeans almost every day, with pops of color here and there. If you see me I always have statement earrings on, however, my favorite article of clothing is shoes!

What makes you feel confident?

My hair. My style and performing on stage.

Who is your style icon?

I have always found inspiration in Twiggy. Her short hair style and big earrings are deffinately an inspiration! I also love Gwen Steffani for a funky inspiration and Cate Blanchett for her classic, yet edgy style.

What do you do outside of Jb and Me?

I teach dance 2 nights a week for a local dance company. I love singing, so I will practice in my car, or at home while my finace plays his guitar. I love listening to music while cooking and drinking a glass of wine. I am not a huge cook, but if I have time I really enjoy it. On a nice summer day I'll be at the beach, with my sunscreen in hand! 

If you had to wear one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Black jeans, My favorite pair of high tops, a white v-neck T, a leather jacket and big earrings!

Favorite place you’ve ever visited and why.

Belize- The water was so clear, beautiful surroundings and coral reef! Hands down the best lobster I've ever had!

What song would describe you best?

Well, I have multiple...lol here are just two that come to mind right away...

Most embarrassing outfit you’ve ever worn.

Hmmm, good question...I think Hair half up, half down, huge bangs, huge earrings, scrunchy...are you painting a picture in your mind?? French cuffed jeans, jelly shoes, one of my brothers oversized t-shirts (knotted on the side), it might sound cute, but it wasn't lol. Deffinately a product of the 80's haha!

One piece of advice you’d give your younger self.

Have fun! Make mistakes and learn from them. Don't try so hard to be perfect. Life happens, so let it go!
