Your position at jb and me –
Business Controller is my title…behind the scenes gal is more like it!
What did you want to be when you grew up –
I always wanted to be a teacher. I would play school EVERY DAY and even had my own classroom in my parent’s basement. I think most of all though, I have always dreamed of being a mom!
What does your typical work day look like –
Lots of different things each work day, a little of everything! All the magic happens in the basement! If you see me on the sales floor its usually to fix a computer, get the mail or go to the bank. I am paying all our vendors for our fabulous inventory, paying employees, all the official accounting stuff like accounts
payable, taxes, reporting, etc.
Favorite part of your job –
I am lucky enough to work with some amazing women, women who have allowed me to be part time and focus on my family as well. Spending time with those women is the favorite part of my job. Morning chats, birthday celebrations and just helping them wherever I can!
Describe your personal style –
I am a t-shirt and jeans girl through and through! I don’t know that I would have much style if it weren’t for the amazing jb and me girls! Give me some comfy denim (LOVE my Liverpools!), a graphic tee and my Sorel tennies! Don’t get me wrong, I love to dress up just like every girl, but comfy is where it’s at with a toddler!
What makes you feel confident –
A fresh haircut, a sweet compliment from my incredible hubby and hanging with my boy who always
thinks I’m funny and thinks the world of me regardless of how I feel that day.
Who is your style icon –
I would say the person who I follow the most is Joanna Gaines – in her comfy style, amazing home décor, delicious food and her incredible faith and family.
What are your beauty + wellness must-haves –
Farmhouse Fresh Three Milk Moisturizer
Arbonne Eye Cream
Dry Shampoo
Archipelago Oat Lotion
What do you do outside of jb and me –
I am a wifey and mama! I have an incredible husband, two amazing kiddos and a beautiful lab to round out our little family! On any given day you can find me outside chasing after my little boy and the dog!
Adventuring with this clan is my favorite thing to do!
My husband and I also founded a non-profit organization after losing our first-born daughter 2 ½ years ago (shameless plug – check us out www.faith-45.com). We are working hard to support other families going through miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss.
Favorite place you’ve ever visited and why –
I went to Europe in high school and it was amazing but I think I was a little young to truly take it all in, I would love to go back some day! My favorite place I have visited since then is Nashville. Such an amazing city with such history, amazing food, amazing music and amazing sights!
What song would describe you best –
“Grow Old” by Florida Georgia Line comes to mind. I am a country girl at heart and envision growing old with my family in a cute farmhouse, loving each other through the bad times and enjoying life’s good times.
“I will carry you” by Selah. I will forever carry my little girl in my heart and tell her story!
Most embarrassing outfit you’ve ever worn –
Growing up my mom made matching outfits for all my siblings and I so I could pick any one of those pictures and say that is probably the most embarrassing outfit I’ve worn – even though sometimes it was kind of cute??
One piece of advice you’d give your younger self –
Don’t worry so much! Trust in yourself and your faith more, God will get you through it all!
