“Falling in love with oneself can be as easy as taking a deep breath in and a deep
breath out.” I came upon this statement from a soulful LA yogi, and it made me stop and think….wow, really?!
Can it be that easy, and then the light bulbs start flashing in my head as I remember what I say as a guide when coaching clients, “with each inhale take in all you need, and with each exhale let go of all that does not serve you.”
The statement also reminded me of a conversation with a friend, who I learned sets a daily alarm on a smart phone as a reminder that they are loved, with a second alarm later in the day set as a reminder to love oneself. What may seem like two small, insignificant activities to some could ultimately help create & cultivate love within. Life is hectic, busy, full of unknowns, etc., BUT it is also a beautiful journey, a blessing, and an incredible gift. Thus with all the hustle and bustle of daily life, it can easily slip by how important it is to take care of oneself. It is my wish and hope that even if for 5 minutes a day, you take care of you, and not only take care of you, but embark on a journey of falling in love with yourself today, and everyday, not needing a Hallmark holiday to do so. May you validate whom you are fully, with life’s battle wounds included, creating that true intimacy of loving yourself body, soul & mind.
