Last month we went a little outside the box for our Stand Strong campaign and asked YOU where we should donate. There are so many incredible organizations right here in West Michigan. We wanted our customers to point us towards new places we may or may not be familiar with, and knew we wouldn’t be let down!! 

All month long, we raffled off tickets to win a $500 jb and me gift card!! Because let’s be honest… who doesn’t want to go on a shopping spree in the fall? We asked our customers to vote on where the money from the raffle should go. Here is a little information on the winning organizations:

Garden of Hope 

Garden of Hope is a ministry located in Grand Rapids and twenty other places in the US, as well as Romania, Canada, and the Ukraine. At this ministry, founded in 2001, they work mostly with women who are considering an abortion or have already chosen to abort. We were not familiar with this organization before tallying up the votes, and feel blessed to learn more as well as donate to an amazing place of counsel and hope. Kids Food basket

We partner with Kids Food Basket yearly, so it is no surprise to see so many votes with the letters “KFB”. Kids Food Basket has been attacking childhood hunger for over a decade to help young people learn and live well. They serve over 7,500 kids each week right here in West Michigan.
