Concert fashion is always a challenge for me. I battle against the cold outdoors while knowing I’ll be hot inside and wanting to be comfortable if I’m dancing around (which, let’s face it, usually happens) while still wanting to look stylish and put together. Thankfully I have a lot of creative minds around me at jb and me who know how to style me up for a fun night out!
I spent last weekend seeing some of my favorite country artists, Florida Georgia Line & Jason Aldean in concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills! I wanted my outfit to fit the occasion without being your typical plaid-shirt-and-cowboy-boots-for-a-country-concert look, so I opted for a fun, flowy dress from Free People, Nikibiki leggings to stay comfortable, and my favorite Free People booties because they have a chunkier heel that’s easy to dance in! I’ve found that flowy dresses usually have a dressy-yet-casual look and leggings give me coverage while still feeling comfortable. Another tip is to find a square heel instead of a slim heel that will allow you to move through aisles/bleachers/seats more easily. And dance of course!
For accessories, I paired our new feather statement necklace and piled on my Alex & Ani. I also got what is probably my new favorite bracelet: a Lenny & Eva cuff with the sentiment “Shine On” as an ode to Florida Georgia Line’s “Get Your Shine On.” I love Lenny & Eva because you can personalize your bracelet with different sentiments and charms that have a special meaning to you.
