Scarf Report – What’s New Around the Neck

While jewelry and new trends in denim seem to be making the biggest statements this Fall, scarves are still a big part of the current season. I personally, am an avid scarf wearer. I find that looping a fabulous scarf around your neck adds instant style to any ensemble. Europeans have been wearing scarves for decades and I am so happy that this trend found its way across the Atlantic and into the closets of American fashion-istas. This Fall, scarves are bolder than in season’s past. Patterns, monograms and bright splashes of color have replaced the monochromatic look of late. Wrapping techniques are less polished and more effortless this Fall, supporting the current trend of unprompted chic. One of my new favorite brands is Tolani. The styles of this line feature exotic, Indian inspired prints with unconventional color combinations. Celebrities have discovered this brand and a cult-like following that includes Jessica Alba and Halle Berry, has ensued. Love quotes scarves are still a favorite of the celeb crowd and myself personally. The traditional linen styles are available in a variety of bright, beautiful colors, sure to add that color pop to Fall’s palette.
